Garages and large timber building manufacturers, John Shields Woodwork, are based in Devon but supply a large variety of timber buildings throughout Cornwall and the South West of England.
Our timber garages provide warm and dry protection for vehicles and sundry equipment. If space permits, a workshop may be incorporated into the design. Many small businesses and public authorities use our garages, since they recognize the fine qualities that make John Shields Woodwork buildings special.
Garage and Large Timber Buildings Specifications.
Maximum width of garage 6m x length available in increments of 600mm.
Walls. Scandinavian redwood shiplap timber on 75mm x 38mm uprights at 600mm centres. Wall panels fixed to base with 100mm sleeve anchors.
Doors. Ledge and brace, tongue and groove redwood timber ex 150mm x 25mm Height 1.95m or 2.1m Galvanized hook and band hinges, padbolt and spring loaded retention bolts. Door posts 100mm x 75mm
Roof. 'A' frame trusses and stress graded purlins 150mm x 47mm timber. Plastic coated, steel box profile sheeting in a choice of colours, underlined with roofing membrane. GRP roof lights size 1m x 1m, where required, underlined with 4mm Perspex to prevent condensation.
Rainwater goods. Black pvc half round gutter, down pipes and fittings are standard.
Windows. Our own AB redwood windows. Screwed construction.. Size 710mm x 610mm. They may be fixed or top hung opening using 300mm stay.
All timber is pressure treated.
All timber garages and buildings over 30 square metres in floor area will normally require buildings regulation approval. This will have a significant effect on the price. |
