Our practical timber offices, available for supply throughout Cornwall are designed to be efficient in terms of heat retention and utilisation of space.

The attractive appearance of our timber home offices will blend well into your garden. The pressure treated shiplap cladding will fade with time, although the preservatives in the timber will go on working for many years.

High Priority is given to security. The double glazed windows have locking catches and the doors are fitted with 5 lever mortice locks.

As we manufacture bespoke timber home offices the size of your timber building, and layout of doors and windows, is a personal decision, enabling us to fulfil your personal criteria.

At John Shields Woodwork we are happy to build to your requirements, so long as they are within reason. The maximum width available is 6m with all lengths available, increasing in increments of 600mm.

The timber building is insulated using glass mineral wool insulation and double glazing. Combined with the good thermal value of wood, this offers superb U values for insulation. If required, internal partition walls are available. Floors are insulated with polystyrene. If required, insulation ratings can be increased. Please ask.

The interior walls and ceilings of our insulated home offices and garden studios are lined with MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) to give a smooth finish, ready for painting. A skirting board is fitted to provide the finishing touch. Standard ceilings are installed level at eaves height. We also offer an attractive tongue and groove pine finish for the ceiling, following the roof pitch up to the ridge line.

If you wish to have wiring installed this can be arranged to be done prior to the fitting of the lining.
